The Dream Tonic Essence EP is a downtempo journey into a melancholic yet hopeful world. Heavy subs, warm pads and lush, ethereal vocals wrap the listener in a cocoon of sound. On Essence Remixed, ill.Gates and some talented Producer Dojo Class of 808 Members take their turns remixing in a variety of styles including heavy bass renditions by ill.Gates, Revs, Tyraze, Lucien Francis and Cryptochronica. 

Dream Tonic
Dream Tonic is the musical vision of Kristin Allen-Farmer. As a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, she pairs a lifetime of being a classically trained pianist with her love of electronic dance music. Her ethereal vocals, warm pads and heavy subs reveal whispers of her biggest influences - Billie Eilish, Morcheeba, Bjork and Portishead to name a few - yet her sound is hard to define and is an entirely unique voice in today’s musical landscape.

Kristin is proud to be a member of the Class of 808, an elite squad of EDM producers who release music under the Producer Dojo label, founded by the acclaimed bass music pioneer, ill.Gates. In addition to Dream Tonic, Kristin has various side projects and collaborations underway, including original contemporary classical piano, public domain classical arrangements, 80’s inspired retro synth wave, deep house and future bass projects. Kristin writes music for film and TV and enjoys Dream Tonic and her side projects being represented by a variety of sync agencies and music libraries.

Kristin is based in San Diego, CA. When not producing music, she can be found teaching music to the next generation of prodigies, spending time with her husband and two young children frolicking at music festivals, or dancing samba professionally at a variety of events.

ill.Gates
ill.GATES is a bass droppin’, educatin’, oscillator modulatin’ space genius from the future.
DJing since age 13, ill.Gates has had a long and lavish career in the music business. Known for his epic collaborations with Apashe, Clozee, Excision, Destroid, KJ Sawka, Vibesquad, Beats Antique, Mimosa, Opiuo, Gucci Mane, Star Wars and the Dead Kennedys he is no stranger to the top of the charts. With 5 studio albums under his belt and hoards of unreleased original music ill.GATES is known for unforgettable live sets peppered with improvised finger drumming and original visuals. REVS
Born Michael Ferrara in Warren, RI “REVS”has been producing, mixing, arranging, and studying sound design for 6 years. Producing is the skill, DJing is the presentation... a real subsonic ball of energy that will drop it low and REV it Up!

His sonic journey began at age 11 when he discovered his love for heavy metal music and the electric guitar. This love evolved into leading the guitar ensemble in high school and eventually his first project Noxii Arena. He started the band "Noxii" in 2011 with two close friends and plays lead guitar. The band has gone onto release an album and tour throughout the United States, playing with bands such as: Between The Buried and Me, Unearth, Born of Osiris, & Veil of Maya.  The sounds and energy experienced in the metal scene ultimately became the inspiration for the heavily distorted and post processed sounds you will come to expect from REVS. 

The goal of the REVS project is to create tunes for listening to when you need an extra boost either in the gym, behind the wheel, or on a festival rail. The name is not an acronym but derives from the word that describes the rotation speed of an engine known as revolutions per minute or better said as REVS. REVS thrives on adrenaline and one of the ways of self medicating his addiction is through creating bass heavy, break-beat tracks with half timed 
drops that make your head bang. 

Tyraze
Tyraze is the music project of Long Island native Mike Shada. The themes and ideas of science fiction and fantasy along with artists such as Au5, Jantsen, and Virtual Riot are some of what influences his sound. Using the contrast of dreamy, mysterious, uplifting melodies and soundscapes to hard hitting in your face basslines, Tyraze takes listeners through an odyssey of sound spanning multiple genres.

Cryptochronica
Cryptochronica is the glitch-bass fusion project of West Coast-based music producer Chris Shimanoff. A sonic weaver, Shimanoff blends genre and style into the glitchy bass fabric that defines Cryptochronica’s sound. Omnitempo and maximalist, Cryptochronica sets seamlessly thread pop, funk, soul, R&B, rock, reggae, hip-hop and downtempo with the heavy bass styles of the underground.

Lucien Francis
Lucien Francis is a Bay Area based music producer focused on lofi, synthwave, synthpop, cyberpunk and combining modern production techniques with vintage sounds.
